Our custom Night Guards are designed to protect your teeth, promote better sleep, and improve quality of life.

What is Bruxism?

Bruxism is a common condition characterized by excessive involuntary grinding, clenching or gnashing of teeth. This habitual action often occurs unconsciously, either while you are awake or while sleeping. Although mild cases may not require intervention, persistent and more severed bruxism can lead to a host of issues, including severe jaw pain, loose teeth, headaches and other significant health concerns.

Bruxism Night Guards

Recognizing the significant impact bruxism can have on your overall health and wellness, Woodlands Dental is pleased to offer custom-made bruxism nightguards. These custom-created plastic dental mouthguards are intended to be worn over the teeth during the night while you sleep. It is specifically designed to help with the effects of grinding or clenching, supporting jaw joints, muscles and teeth to promote a more beneficial alignment to alleviate the pain associated with bruxism. Additionally, these night guards protect the teeth from the wear and tear caused by grinding, so instead of wearing down the tooth enamel, the plastic guards are worn down. We begin by taking precise impressions of your teeth, which are then sent to our dental lab. Your night guard is then crafted to fit your mouth precisely and comfortably, ensuring it stays in place while you sleep and effectively protects your teeth and helps with associated symptoms of bruxism.

How to Care for Your Night Guard:

  • Rinse your night guard with cold water and gently clean it with a soft toothbrush before and after each use.
  • Store your night guard in the case provided to ensure proper air circulation and prevent damage.
  • Keep it away from hot water, direct sunlight and high temperatures to maintain its shape.
  • Regularly inspect your night guard for any signs of wear or damage. If you notice any cracks or discomfort, please contact our clinic so we can do an assessment.
  • Do not forget to bring your night guard to each dental visit so we can check its fit and condition. At Woodlands Dental, we are committed to helping you protect your smile and enjoy restful nights!

Woodlands Dental is committed to offering effective Bruxism Night Guards, so you can more easily enjoy a restful night of sleep, alleviate the pain associated with bruxism, while also protecting your tooth enamel from the effects of grinding.
